quickly pumped out the previous post at like 1 in the morning, and this is getting pumped out just after waking up around 11 in the morning.

in the previous part of the manifesto (as well as in the description of this blog), i basically described how the purpose of this page is to talk about whatever i want. people who’ve been following my tweets (or even the forum status updates back when i did that) will probably have a large understanding of what that is but any new person might be more confused.

it’ll usually fall into 3 categories, usually distinct but they will occasionally overlap:

my general opinion or philosophy about something, usually spurred by something that happened relatively within the present. this will probably be most of the posts from here on out considering the world is continuing to plunge into fascism and there’s going to be a constant stream of inspiration to dwell upon.

personal selections from the onthe12thfloor lore. my life influences my work so naturally parts of my life are going to appear in my ramblings.

a series that i’m currently planning on calling “The Canon” which will be my comments on any particular medium, it will usually be music-related, blended with aspects of the first 2 categories. i’m sure there will be a few reviews at some point, but it will mostly be analysis and/or an essay about it’s personal significance to my life & identity.

i wouldn’t consider myself to be a particularly political person - there’s simply aspects of my identity that are marginalized so i’m affected by politics whether i want to be or not. the purpose of this blog isn’t to be political but it’s just one of those things that we’re going to run into eventually.

my twitter (and bluesky whenever i remember it exists) will be more casual. i may choose to post substack “notes” if i eventually feel like it but i’m not focused on that right now.
